Neohori of Lefkada
The last workshop of AMAKA for the summer 2017 is going to take place In the small settlement of Neohorion at Lefkada from the 24th to the 27th of August.
Next to an already existing traditional stone oven we are going to make a complete design of an outdoor kitchen with a rocket stove, open barbeque, marble sink etc.
The workshop is open to participants with no previous knowledge on eco – building who are keen on working with natural materials. Mostly we are going to use among others cob, mud bricks and geobags.
Theory to be covered during the 3 days of the workshop include uses and classifications of clay, natural building techniques, natural roof styles, natural plasters, natural color pigments etc.
Participants will gather Thursday afternoon at the entrance of Neohorion village where the land is situated.
Accommodation is offered at the spot with tents.
Participants will have to bring their own camping equipment and suitable clothes and shoes for outdoor work.
The cost of the workshop is 80 euros, including all lodging and food.
